In our country there is still no univocal national legislation, but the recent push towards energy efficiency and the quality and health of the environments, residential and otherwise, has led to the birth of several certification bodies and the promotion of natural architecture, or green building.

Given our vocation for the treatment and cosmetics of wood, we turned to one of the most authoritative European bodies in the sector: the Rosenheim Institute for Green Building, o IBR, in Germany. The German institution will celebrate its 40th anniversary in a few months and we are proud to count it among the partners who accompany us in our path of quality and responsibility.

Natural oils for wood: the comfort and quality of green building

The analyzes to obtain IBR certification from the Rosenheim Institute for Green Building ensure that our products have a level of eco-compatibility in line with the principles of Green Building. Borma Wachs natural wood oils, produced with the use of renewable raw materials, are tested for:

• VOC content
• Biocides
• Heavy metals
• Radioactive material

What are these products? For convenience, we divide them according to the environment of use, indoor or outdoor.

The natural oils for interiors certified for green building are contained in our Interior catalog and are the following:

• Oil-based primer OIL PARQUET QUICK - Applicable by brush, roller, rag, spray or in industrial plants;
• Oil-based primer OIL PARQUET PLUS - Applicable by brush, roller, rag, spray or in industrial plants;
• Oil-based primer OIL PARQUET PRO - Applicable by brush, roller, rag, spray or in industrial plants;
• Oil-based primer VOC ECO PREMIUM PARQUET OIL HIGH SOLID - ECO PREMIUM PARQUET OIL - Specific for the treatment of large areas, it is recommended to be applied with a single disc machine, ideal for the high-quality treatment of polished or unfinished or stained wooden floors or posed;
• Special for oil finishes. REGENERATING OIL FOR INTERIORS - Apply by brush or rag without leaving excesses. For normal maintenance only one coat is sufficient.

The natural outdoor oils certified for green building are contained in our Exteriors catalog and are the following:

• NATURAQUA TEAK OIL Teak Oil - Oils in aqueous dispersion reinforced with resins ready for use for indoors and outdoors. Equipped with UV filters;
• NATURAQUA DECKING OIL water-based oil - For outdoor wood with special UV filters, it is a mixture of emulsified oils in water reinforced with resins.

Thanks to the use of these products it is possible to minimize the impact on the environment, with the certainty of also protecting the health of operators and of those who live and work in buildings.
In addition to these oil products for use mainly building, Borma Wachs also provides IBR certification for Hard Top Oli table surface oil and for specific water-based products.
