SEPTEMBER 27, 2022
Dear friends,
here we are again with you talking about interior wood treatment products, as the calendar marks the beginning of Autumn on the 21st. Of course, after a summer like the one suffered (it is appropriate to use that verb) by almost all of Italy, we would almost like to hope for a cool autumn. In fact, the sun this year has already completely outdone itself. More than polenta or, for the milanese, the "casseula", we wanted to eat watermelons.
But anyway, we have to do our duty and follow the trend of the seasons. In autumn, the atmosphere becomes much more intimate again. Autumn is a time of year that prepares us for the winter cold, and it usually does so by warming the environment around us with warm colors. The red of ripe grapes, figs, apples, especially the red of the leaves. It is precisely this extraordinary phenomenon, to which all of us have got used to so much so that, in large part, we do not even notice it anymore. Obviously you need the right views, the right time (which varies from a sunset to a fiery mist that recalls the landscapes of Ottone Rosai), the right plants (if you are looking for this color in a fir forest you will certainly not find it!). If we think of areas of Italy in which to admire these "artist's landscapes", we are spoiled for choice. Surely a hilly landscape is the most suitable, and what better occasion to combine sight and palate? Langhe or Chiantishire (by now the British have colonized this part of Tuscany)? Dolomites or Valle d'Aosta, with the spectacle of chestnut trees and some larches that set the woods on fire with all shades of red, enchanting the view. However, there are places in the world where this phenomenon is almost an object of worship.
There are countries where real group tours are organized to admire this phenomenon, which repeats itself every year (and God forbid if not!), but which like all natural things (and we who love WOOD, we know this well!) is every time different from the previous one.
Let's talk about the so-called “foliage”. If we go and have a look at what has become, like it or not, the largest source of information in the world: the Internet, we find dozens of sites dedicated to foliage.
Many of them are even managed by the states where the foliage takes place. Obviously we are talking about the American continent, given that "foliage tourism" was born there.
So let's go together to discover some of them. The government of Maine provides constant monitoring of the foliage, with all the areas where it is possible to admire it, the "degree of color".
If you prefer Canada, here is the site that allows you to monitor the foliage.
Perhaps what some would call fixation derives from the fact that, not having monuments and works of art like we do, Americans and Canadians take refuge in nature.
Maybe, but given the state in which our masterpieces are often kept, we too will one day (of course we hope NEVER!) end up being satisfied with the masterpieces provided for free by Mother Nature.
In any case, let's all go out of the house, take advantage of the last few days without a coat and warm up with the wonderful colors of Autumn.

Autumn reminds us of evenings around the crackling fire with a nice pan of roasted chestnuts, the right wine (maybe a nice Recioto della Valpolicella that goes perfectly with chestnuts) and above all the warmth of wood, be it the material of the parquet or the furniture.
Here is the BORMA WACHS line of wood products based on natural oils for interiors that revive and give new splendor to the noble material that surrounds us: natural oils for interiors.
The new heat is added to the warmth of the fireplace, the new lymph that gives splendor to our great friend.
Whether we like Germany or not, the certificates issued by the major German Wood Institutes are an unassailable reference.
Hence, Borma Wachs products have obtained, among the very few in Europe, the IBR certificate. It is the DOCG counterpart of great wines. The only limitation is that they don't go well with roasted chestnuts!
It successfully prevents the formation of cracks, swelling or fading of any wooden surface. A professional product for wood that gathers in its blend the main waxes of mineral, animal and vegetable origin. The protective capacity is supported by very resistant luminous pigments, which enhance the warmth and color of the wood by retouching any imperfections. With good expansion and flexibility, it offers, when sanded, the possibility of perfectly smooth finishes. Overpaintable with water-based and solvent-based paints, waxes, shellac paints. The colors and its particular formula make Shabby Provencale particularly suitable for obtaining Provencal and shabby chic style finishes to create the vintage effect on wood.
There are other treasures that are built with our friend wood: the old or ancient things handed down to us by our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents ...
Many of them in wood.
Well, you certainly know that Borma Wachs has product lines that have been designed for this, for wood care. Quoting a well-known claim of a luxury watch manufacturing job, “these objects are never completely possessed, they are kept in order to pass them on to those who will come after us”.
Therefore, the Borma Wachs Wood Restoration line, shows you how much you can do, with simplicity and love, to pass on these precious objects.
They do not mark the time, like the watches indirectly mentioned above, but they are the time that passes and that is marked by those who have manufactured these works of art not thinking of their transience but of the fact that generation after generation would have recalled his taste and his great dexterity.
Furthermore, and this is not of secondary importance, we consider that all the products mentioned above are formulated with completely NATURAL raw materials (block letters are required). This is because there can be no solution of continuity between the past, the present and the future. Natural is the support (Wood), natural and manual the way our ancestors worked it, natural must be the treatment to give it new life.
If we want to joke, GMO FREE! Only beeswax, shellac, natural oils. For once, the chemist is Mother Nature, and not a man in a white coat.
