Protecting the beauty of wood, enhancing it, making sure that the climate and bad weather do not scratch it.
These are the objectives that lead us to create, through continuous research, products capable of nourishing this living material, defend and protect it from the aggression of atmospheric agents that could alter it, causing permanent damage such as swelling, color changes, abrasions or decompositions.
Borma offers you a range of water and solvent-based products that are able to best preserve your wood so that it can continue to offer you its natural beauty over time.
This collection for exterior and interior includes two color ranges:
• Natural transparent and semi-transparent colors that enhance the structure of the wood
• Opaque colors that give a new life to the product with more modern shades.
All color shades can be reproduced using the Borma Color System tinting system, designed to obtain, in addition to this folder, also the most popular collections in the world such as RAL and NCS.
We recommend applying these products to complete the cycles and give the treatment a longer duration:
- code 0310 NATURAQUA LOG SEALER as a protective insulator for the ends of beams, poles and other wooden structures exposed to humidity and bad weather.
- code 3933.UV UV WEATHER OIL as a finish after coloring.
Thanks to its special UV filters, it constantly prolongs the life of colored and raw wood, avoiding graying and oxidation.
Depending on the conditions of the wooden surface, the type of wood, the thickness of the dry film and the application procedure, the final result may differ from the colors of the samples show.
We recommend a preliminary test on a expendable surface.
Preparation of the substrate:
Sand the surface of the object to obtain a smooth, clean surface free from oils, greases, waxes, silicones and old paints.
A final sanding with 180-220 grit sandpaper leads to a better visual and tactile result.
Before applying the base coat, vacuum all the dust residues.
The wood moisture must be between 9% and 12%.
Check compatibility (color, oil content, ability to inhibit hardening) with unknown woods.
Some woods, especially highly colored and / or of exotic origin (e.g. Lapacho, Ipe, Iroko, Mahogany in general), can considerably inhibit or slow down the hardening of the product.
