Borma Wachs Straw oil is a full vegetable origin oil, largely used in restoration. It’s suitable in cleaning, burnishing and renourishing of the wood fibers, thanks to its excellent penetration power. In the precious red version, it’s perfect to give back the original colour to stone and wood.

To regenerate and renourish, spread the oil by soft non-peeling cotton cloth or by brush on the exhausted wood after lacquer removal. Apply one single layer and let it penetrate for 24hrs; then apply again if the oil has completely soaked into the wood or remove the excess. In the clear version, but even more in the Red version, its suitable also for arkening the wod tone, granting warmer shades.
During maintenance, can be used for cleaning old residuals of grease and waxes on antique furniture, or for polishing: in this case apply the desired quantity on a cloth or directly on the surface, then burnish until the surface seems dry.
Straw oil is also suitable as a lubricant for shellac polish or for sharpening stones.
