Surface preparation:
The surface must be dry and clean, suitably sanded, free from residues of oils, greases, silicones and residues of old paints.
The humidity of the wood must be between 9 and 12%.
Application:
MANUAL
On furniture: apply evenly using a rag or abrasive pad to facilitate penetration into the wood and avoid product excesses, with a consumption of about 8g - 10g/m2.
Before hardening of the paint film under UV radiation, it is necessary to remove the aqueous phase present in the product.
Once the water is released, irradiate the surface with UV light lamps.
If you want to apply a second coat, sand with fine paper (P220 -240),
remove the dust and spread the product in the same way, with a consumption of about 4-6 gr/m2, and proceed as above.
The dry surface can be wiped with a cloth or abrasive pad for a more silky feel.
For Parquet: considering a consumption of 10-15 gr per m2, apply with a single brush, white disc.
Before the paint film hardens under UV radiation, it is necessary to remove the aqueous phase present in the product.
Once the water is released, irradiate the surface with UV light lamps.
Sand with fine paper (P220 -240), remove the dust and apply the second coat of NATURAQUA BIOFAST OIL, approximately 4 - 6 gr / m2, proceeding as above.
Attention: the product hardens in a few seconds, any defects in the drafting are then fixed to the passage of the lamp.
INDUSTRIAL
Apply BORMA 100% NATURAQUA BIOFAST OIL with rollers followed by brushes, to seal pores and remove excess material from the surface.
Evaporate the water in a vertical oven for 30/40 min (max. Temp. 50°) or in a flat channel oven for 10/15 min (max. Temp. 50° air speed: 2 m/s ).
The parameters mentioned are indicative values which must be adapted to the respective paint plant.
Drying depends on the thickness of the paint layer, temperature, air circulation and humidity.
First coat 10-15 gr/m2, After P220 -240 hardening and sanding, then apply a second coat 10-15 gr/m2
BORMA 100% NATURAQUA BIOFAST OIL can be used in ONE COAT: in this case it is advisable to increase the weight, without exceeding 20-25 gr/m2
Attention: The consumptions shown are purely indicative.
The final result depends on the type of wood, the method of application, the conditions and the equipment used.
Preliminary tests are recommended in order to establish the actual yield.
For drying and hardening of BORMA 100% NATURAQUA BIOFAST OIL, the ideal distance from the substrate to the UV lamp is 2.5 cm.
