Description

The Mordant Active Stain Concentrates are special liquid stains in aqueous solution for the colouring of wood by spray or brush, for the positive effect stains. They allow to obtain strong highlighting effects on the grain of conifer wood. Used in combination with the waterborne Borma mordant stains' binder TP1050, they have an excellent positive power, and their colour is lasting in time. The treated supports once dry can be easily overpainted, treated with oils or waxes. Following the Borma Coloroil System suggestions, it is possible to reproduce all of the colours of the Borma Wachs colour folders.

Method of Usage

Mix the mordant concentrates with the positive stain binder, in order that the total quantity of concentrate is equal to 5-10% overall. The concentrates can be mixed together to obtain intermediate colors. To obtain pastel stains add 1-2% of waterborne colour pastes (series COW0XX).

Apply by spray or by brush, do not apply in excess and do not use cloths.

Let it act for 6/8 hours and, once the desired effect has been obtained, finish with the Borma oils and waxes.

The IBR Green Building Institute had tested some of our products and determined that they correspond to the highest standards of the aforementioned French VOC legislation.

The EMICODE mark guarantees that the material has been tested and certified according to its emission level. Compared to 1997, low-emission building materials now have a TVOC value (total quantity of volatile organic compounds) from one hundred to one thousand times lower. The EMICODE mark is not issued if a building material is suspected of altering genetic makeup, causing cancer or impairing reproductive capacity.
