White refined paraffin, slightly translucent, odourless, oily to the touch, is perfect for the production of candles and the treatment of paper. Because of its insolubility in water and its resistance to chemical agents, it is an excellent additive used in the formulation of encaustic paint for wood. Good also as an interface to reduce friction between moving wooden parts.
